Question: What are the different types of bridges after placement of the implants in full mouth rehabilitation?
Answer: THESE ARE THE OPTIONS WHICH WE ARE OFFERING YOU SINCE YOU ALREADY HAVE THE IMPLANTS.
Option 1A: Cement retained metal ceramic crowns( PLACING ABUTMENTS AND TAKING DIRECT IMPRESSIONS
Option 1B: Cement retained metal ceramic crowns with indirect impression :Prosthetic components like implant analogues and impression coping have to be purchased (extra charges)- (IT HAS TO BE DONE IN THE LAB)
Option 2: Cement retained MLS crowns ( IT HAS TO BE DONE IN THE LAB)
Option 3: Screw retained with titanium base and hybrid denture- HEAT CURE ACRYLIC
Option 4: Screw retained (MALO BRIDGE) SCREW RETAINED TITANIUM BASE WITH CERAMIC TEETH
Question: I must admit confusion and ignorance of most of the dental terminology used in your options as received yesterday. I would be grateful if you could reword it in order for me to gain a clearer understanding.
My research has given me greater knowledge of MLS and metal ceramic crowns, however, I don’t understand why option 3 is significantly more expensive than option 2. Could you enlighten me please?
I am aware that your work is of a high quality in all instances, however, I feel that options 3 and 4 are currently out of my price range.
Is there a reason why screw retained is so much more expensive than cement retained?
My preference was for removable implant/gum supported dentures, for cleaning ease and self maintenance. Why do you prefer fixed prostheses? How often do your fixed prostheses need to be removed for cleaning? I have read that a cemented prosthesis is not easily retrieved, if for example it breaks.
Is the wide gap between both upper and lower jaw frontal implants not a problem? Could a prosthesis break in these spans?
Does my already having implants hinder your treatment options?
Sorry to plague you for more information, however, this is important to me regarding my treatment option.
